Not special...but important...

Promenade along the blue beaches,
Listening to the sound of the waves,
Infatuated by the beauty of the great blue sky,
Lying on the bed of sand you rest...

Life, as people have always said, is short. Death, as it has always seem to be, is one thing that most people are afraid of. "It's not something special, sooner or later, one still has to die; however, it is something very important to each individual." Yesterday when I was watching the movie "The Accuracy of Death", this line has particularly grabbed my attention. True enough, death is not special, given that everyone has to go through it no matter what; yet, it is of significant meaning to each of us. How and when we die are especially crucial to us. If we are to die when we have unfinished business, it would be no doubt that we might remain in this realm when we are reborn in our next life due to our attachment to those things. If we are to die in a good and peaceful way, it would be great as we might have higher opportunity to remain calm at the moment when we left this world and choose the right path to go for our next life. Anyways, it's not always up to us how we will leave this world one day. Most of us might just be mannequins of our destiny or karma at the end of our life. Thus, what matter the most is to live a life well and live it without regrets.

At the beginning of this year, one of my lecturers, Dr. Renuka met an accident and her husband and son passed away while she was under critical condition. For a few weeks, she was announced brain death and was living under the life support. It was only yesterday that she passed away naturally in the hospital. To our respected lecturer, may she rest in peace. You'll always remain in our memory...
